I picked up a camera a few years before moving to Tahoe. I just kept shooting and learning as much as I could. It helped that I was surrounded by sort of a network of creative people who were great to collaborate with and bounce ideas off of. It’s the same today, I learn at school, from personal research, and from friends. When I got to SNC, I realized that I could make a career doing something I care about and enjoy.

Most of my work centers around my pursuits in the outdoors. I really enjoy expedition style shooting, and bringing back stories coupled with great imagery. As a skydiver with a fiery passion for flight, aerial photography is a visual niche that I am ecstatic about. I am blessed that I will start flying camera this summer. Right now I’ve set my sights on making a powered paramotor (powered paragliding) expedition around Iceland. I plan to explore and shoot the country from the air as a personal project.
“I grew up surfing in southern California. These days, fresh snow and skydiving get me out of bed in the morning. I came to SNC to be in the mountains, but I stayed because of the faculty and community I have found here.”
Recently I have been focusing on shooting video, both for myself and getting into the commercial world. After graduation I intend to pursue freelance editing and video production work, helping companies tell their stories. That way I can travel full time while I simultaneously save to buy land. Within the next ten years I would like to obtain my pilots license, begin building my house, and keep traveling in pursuit of good surf, fresh snow, and blue skies.
