SNC’s psychology research fair showcases independent research in psychology. At this fourth annual fair, students will present posters detailing the results of campus-wide studies on human behavior conducted during the 2013-2014 year. Poster topics include (but are not limited to) the impact of instructor appearance and behavior on student performance, emotions in text messaging, and charitable donations. The Sierra Nevada College English program brings well-known poets and writers from all over the country to the campus for readings and book signings in intimate settings where audience members get to meet and exchange ideas with the guest writers. The SNC Concert Choir Shubert Shindig will be held Thursday and Saturday, April 3rd and 5th at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Incline Village. A string ensemble will accompanying the choir. The all-Shubert program includes his Mass in G and solo performances of several songs, many of them familiar. Franz Schubert was a romantic composer who wrote 600 songs, an opera, several masses, several symphonies, and a huge amount of piano literature. Throughout all of these works, melody was his forte. It is…
