“Take Back the Night”
April 25 - May 3
Community Pop-Up Exhibit
Reception: April 25, 5 – 7 pm
“Take Back the Night” is a pop-up exhibition engaging with themes of equality, activism, and social justice. The pop-up is held in conjunction with the Take Back the Night March as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), hosted by Tahoe SAFE Alliance and Sierra Nevada College. Take Back the Night is a movement started in response to violence against women. We speak out against violence and raise community awareness while seeking to end sexual violence, intimate partner violence and all other forms of violence for all people regardless of gender.
The Take Back the Night Community Walk on Thursday, April 25 will start at IV Coffee Lab at 4 PM and end at Sierra Nevada College’s Holman Arts & Media Center, where there will be a reception from 5-7 PM. Tahoe SAFE Alliance will be providing more information regarding SAAM.
