“CLA$H”

April 30 - May 24

Digital Arts and Management major Nick Cahill had his image as the cover of National Geographic in 2015

Artist: Nick Cahill

Reception: May 7, 5 – 7 pm
Artist Talk: 5:30 pm, Holman Arts & Media Center

Nick is an outdoor adventurer by lifestyle and a filmmaker and photographer by profession. His image “Dark Needle” has landed on the cover of National Geographic and he recently took home 1st place in the action sports category at Mammoth Film Festival.

Nick has developed an eye behind the lens that shines bright when paired with adventure. He has great patience for capturing breathtaking moments in unique places and will continue to visit those places until everything lines up just the way he sees it in his head. He is an adrenaline seeker at heart and spends his free time jumping out of airplanes, riding mountain bikes, snowboarding in the back country, surfing, paddle boarding, and mountaineering. He honed his business skills as the Media Director for one of the largest military news and men’s entertainment website, Hurricane Group.

His art show “CLA$H” is the intersection of creative work that is passion versus commissioned and the path that has to be navigated between the two. Nick strives to literally blur the lines between the hurdle every artists faces.
