Keynote Speaker: Tim Palmer

Author and photographer Tim Palmer will present his slide show Wild and Scenic Rivers: An American Legacy.

Photographer, author, and conservationist Tim Palmer in his canoeThe book Wild and Scenic Rivers: An American Legacy is an illuminating portrait of the world’s premier system for the protection of natural rivers. It reveals the history and essential policies of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers Act and showcases 160 spectacular color photos of designated rivers from across the country.

Tim will show photos and tells stories about this vital public initiative in celebration its 50th anniversary.

Palmer is the award-winning author of 26 books about rivers, conservation, the environment, and adventure travel. He is an accomplished photographer of America’s natural landscapes and a dynamic public speaker with inspiring slide shows on a range of environmental topics. His work is one of the most complete photographic collections of rivers in the United States.
