Become a Mentor

At Sierra Nevada University, education happens beyond the classroom!

Through our ground-breaking job guarantee and mentoring program, every SNU student has the opportunity to work directly with a seasoned professional in the student’s chosen field. This type of one-on-one mentoring has been shown to be the most effective way of preparing students for a productive and meaningful path forward in their professional lives.

Would you consider exploring the idea of becoming a mentor to an SNU Student?

Whether you are an SNU alumnus looking to give back to your college, or a community member looking for a way to positively influence the next generation, we want to talk with you. Not only will you make a significant difference in the life of a student, the experience will almost certainly be incredibly rewarding for you as well.  This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference in the world.

The program is constructed so that students and mentors are carefully paired – professional goals, personal goals, personalities, and aptitudes are all considered as part of the process for placing a student with a mentor. With a minimal commitment of time, perhaps one hour per week twice a month over approximately six months, you can help guide the future success of a motivated Sierra Nevada University student.

If you are intrigued by the idea of providing supported, structured, professional mentorship to an SNU student, please submit the information below. Keep in mind that submitting the requested information is not a commitment to the program. This is merely the first step in exploring this opportunity, one we would love to discuss with you.
