Submit Your College Application
Option 1: The SNU Undergraduate Application
Who is eligible? All undergraduate applicants: Freshman; Transfer Students; International Students; LTCC Students; Online Students
- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, although we strongly recommend that you complete your application as early as possible. You will usually receive a decision within two weeks of completing all your application requirements.
- You do not have to complete your application in one sitting - you can save it partially completed, then log back in to finish it later. Don't forget to keep track of the email address and password you use to log in! Use any Start Your Application link to log back in.
- You can enter a personal statement directly into the application.
Option 2: The Common Application
Who is eligible? Freshman Applicants
If you have already filled out the Common Application, add Sierra Nevada University to your “My Colleges” list.

Reserve Your Place at SNU Tahoe
Accepted students who have decided to attend Sierra Nevada University should send their non-refundable $150 confirmation deposit by June 1 for the Fall term. Students who deposit after June 1 will be subject to space limitations.
Special Circumstances
Transfer Credits for Freshman Applicants
Freshman applicants who have taken college courses while in high school, AP courses, the IB (International Baccalaureate) Exam, military school courses, or CLEP (College Level Examination Program) Exams may be eligible for transfer credits. Details on the Freshman Applicants page, or contact the Registrar’s Office at 775-831-1314, ext 7580 for specific information.
Non-Standard High School Record
Students who were home schooled in high school, have a G.E.D. (General Education Degree) or a high school GPA below SNU Tahoe standards are all eligible to apply. Details on the Freshman Applicants page.
Re-Admission
Students who have withdrawn for over a year or been dismissed from the College must re-apply for admission. Candidates should file the application as early as possible. If the student has attended classes at another college or university in the interim, official transcripts must be sent from each institution attended.
Falsification of Admission Documents
Any student who enters the College using false information, or by omitting required information, is subject to penalty, including immediate dismissal without refund of tuition.
