How To Apply
Sierra Nevada College is looking for future student leaders. We use a holistic approach to identify students with integrity, high academic standards, and serious educational and personal goals. True to SNC Tahoe’s commitment to individualized education, each college application receives a confidential and in-depth review.
Requirements and Information for:
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, although we strongly recommend that you complete your application as early as possible.
You will usually receive an admission decision within two weeks after your application file is complete.
Submit Your College Application
Two ways to submit your application. NO fee to apply.
- Who is eligible? All undergraduate applicants: Freshman; Transfer Students; International Students; LTCC & TMCC Students; Online Students
You do not have to complete your application in one sitting – you can save it partially completed, then log back in to your user account to finish it later. Don’t forget to write down your Login ID and PIN! Use any Start Your Application link to log back in.
If you are submitting a personal statement, you can enter it directly into the application.

Your application cannot be considered until we receive all transcripts and other required documents that are separate from the application form.

Reserve Your Place at SNC Tahoe
Accepted students who have decided to attend Sierra Nevada College should send their non-refundable $150 confirmation deposit by June 1 for the Fall term. Students who deposit after June 1 will be subject to space limitations.
Transfer Credits for Freshman Applicants
Freshman applicants who have taken college courses while in high school, AP courses, the IB (International Baccalaureate) Exam, military school courses, or CLEP (College Level Examination Program) Exams may be eligible for transfer credits. Non-Standard High School Record
Students who were home schooled in high school, have a G.E.D. (General Education Degree) or a high school GPA below SNC Tahoe standards are all eligible to apply. Details on the Freshman Applicants page.
Students who have withdrawn for over a year or been dismissed from the College must re-apply for admission. Candidates should file the application as early as possible. If the student has attended classes at another college or university in the interim, official transcripts must be sent from each institution attended.

Falsification of Admission Documents
Any student who enters the College using false information, or by omitting required information, is subject to penalty, including immediate dismissal without refund of tuition.
