Get a Bachelor’s Degree, a Master’s Degree, and qualify for a Nevada Teaching License on an accelerated schedule.
- The Teacher Education Dual Degree curriculum includes 10 course credits which are applied to both your undergraduate and graduate degrees, so the total number of credits required is reduced to 157 from 167 (120 undergraduate + 47 graduate).
- All graduate level classes are held after school hours, so you can finish your M.A.T. degree coursework while you are already working as a teacher.
- Both undergraduate and graduate levels are financial aid eligible.
The Bachelor’s Degree & Teachable Majors
All undergraduate majors at Sierra Nevada University are appropriate for students who plan on getting an Elementary Teaching license. Students who plan on getting a Secondary Teaching License, for teaching middle and high school, must select a degree program that corresponds with a state-approved secondary subject area. Eligible majors at SNU include English, Environmental Science, and Biology.
