“Once Upon a Ride”
April 4 - April 26
Garage Door Gallery
Artist: Natalya Burd
Reception: Thursday April 4, 5 – 7 pm
Artist Talk: 5:30pm, Garage Door Gallery
In this new body of work, Burd reflects on the relativity of time, space and light. By using iridescent paint mediums and playing with the reflective quality of plexiglass and mirrors, she pushed the boundaries of flat surfaces, creating a shimmering atmosphere that evokes the gleams of fleeting moments in time.
Natalya Burd is a San Jose, CA. based visual artist. She is the recipient of the Silicon Valley Creates Emerging Artist Award in 2016, and the Djerassi Artist Residency in 2017. She has participated in numerous group shows in USA, Germany and Russia. Burd is represented by the Jack Fischer Gallery in San Francisco.
