Tour de Tahoe 2017

32 Eagles took to the road in the early morning on Sunday, September 10th to make their second annual 72 mile Tour de Tahoe ride around the lake. The weather was perfect and the team was ready.

The 72-mile Tour de Tahoe – Bike Big Blue course begins in Stateline and circumnavigates Lake Tahoe clockwise on highways 50, 89, and 28 through California and Nevada, at altitudes ranging from 6,300′ to 7,100′ above sea level. It includes a challenging 800-foot climb to a rest stop overlooking Emerald Bay, a 1,000-foot climb to the rest stop at Spooner Junction, parts of over 4,024 total vertical feet of elevation gain! Riders had lunch at the rest stop in Tahoe City, where SNC Team Eagle supporters manned the college’s booth.
