The Sierra Nevada Review is Looking for Student Editors
Have you ever wanted to work in publishing? Are you a writer? Do you need course credit or professional practices hours for your English BFA? The Sierra Nevada Review is now accepting applications for the fall semester.
The Sierra Nevada Review class, started by June Saraceno in 1991, has been publishing one issue per year of poetry and fiction from all over the country. Students read all the submissions that come in, collaboratively select the top picks for the journal, format the book, copy edit it, and send it off to the publisher. Several weeks later, the volumes come in and are sent out to subscribers.
We’re looking for individuals who are:
- critical readers of literature
- careful proofreaders
- aspiring writers
- technologically savvy, working with InDesign, blogging, Facebook
- able to work independently
