SNC to host Sustainability Film Festival, November 2-3

The inaugural Sustainability Film Festival is an innovative and exciting collaborative series of films designed to generate awareness, conversation, and debate around current issues in sustainability. Presented by the library’s Sustainability Resource Center and Students Striving for Sustainability (S3), this year’s festival includes visionary documentaries that explore important issues of Social Justice, Food, Environment, Sustainability in Business, and a special afternoon of films appropriate for families and children ages 7-12.  Film topics will be facilitated by local academics and community leaders who will lead discussions to present and exchange ideas on current and local trends in sustainability. Admission is FREE, but donations are accepted.

Raffle items, door prizes, and/or appetizers have been donated by Austin’s, Art’s, Burger Me!, Dragonfly, I.V. Coffee Lab, Mountain Bounty Farm, New Moon, Ruhstaller Beer, The Coffee Bar, The Pour House, The Red Truck, Truckee Donner Public Utility District, T’s Mesquite Rotisserie, Wild Alaskan, Wild Cherries, the Wild and Scenic Film Festival, and Whole Foods.
