SNC Snowboard and Freeski Teams Stacked for 2014-2015

The SNC Snowboard and Freeski Teams attracted some incredible new talent this summer from around the world!

Frederick McCarthy is a 2013 graduate of Maine’s prestigious Carrabassett Valley Academy, where he concentrated on boarder-cross. He then took a gap year to focus on snowboarding, earning many NorAm starts, a record he plans to continue here at SNC.

Colleen Healey comes to SNC from Plymouth Regional High School in Holderness, New Hampshire. During the 2013 – 2014 season she earned a spot on the USA Junior Worlds Team that traveled to Italy, had many Nor-Am Cup starts, and a top 10 finish at Mt. Hood, Oregon.

Raleigh White is a Tahoe local from Truckee, California. He also took a gap year to focus on skiing the 2013 – 2014 AFP World Tour. He made the finals in every event he competed in, including at the North Face Park and Pipe Open contests and the Aspen Open. White adds a lot of weight to the SNC Freeski Team and should help the team capture another National Title.

Emilie Amundsen, a world class mogul skier from Drammen, Norway, is transferring from the University of Oslo to earn her degree in Marketing. Last season she received many top 10 finishes in European Cups and in the Junior World Championships. Amundsen will continue her focus on mogul skiing and will also join the Women’s Freeski Team in slopestyle.

The 2014-2015 season is going to be exciting for the SNC Eagles. Coach Branko Zagar has brought in a tremendous group of athletes to fill the void left by top graduating seniors Ashley VanderMeer, Katie Souza, Rebecca Roberts, Armeen Pirooz, and Alden Spence, all of whom won National Titles or were team leaders while here at SNC.
