Dear Sierra Nevada College Parents,

First, I would like to thank you for placing your trust in Sierra Nevada College. We are so pleased to have the opportunity to provide your students with an exceptional liberal arts education here at Sierra Nevada College. Each member of our faculty and staff is committed to our active-learning culture and has high expectations for our students. If you come to campus, we believe you will see that your sons and daughters are equally committed and engaged. We are really proud of them.

I would like to invite you to join us for a terrific Parents’ Weekend on October 13-14, 2012, where you can see what is unique and special about Sierra Nevada College firsthand.

On Saturday morning, you’ll have the chance to hear from both faculty and students about how we engage our students both in their hearts and in their minds, so that they are truly present at their education. Then, after a free afternoon to spend with your student, we’ll all reconvene for the special Parents’ and Students’ Dinner hosted by the President and me at our home.

I encourage you to make plans to come for this event. To assist you with your planning, I have included more information about the schedule of events as well as a list of local travel resources. Please let us know you are coming by completing the RSVP form.

I look forward to seeing you in October.

Sincerely,
Erika
