Parents’ Leadership Council
Become an inaugural member of the Parents’ Leadership Council and build a vital resource for SNC families and students. Add your family’s voice to the SNC story and join a network of parents who can support the student experience on campus. Becoming a Parent volunteer is an exciting and meaningful way to become more engaged in your student’s education.
As 2013-2014 Parents’ Leadership Council member, some of the things you might do are:
Attend Family Weekend 2013, October 11-12.
Record your family’s SNC story in writing or by video for us to share.
Make personal phone calls to other current and prospective students, parents, and family members, to welcome them, answer their questions, and share what is so unique and special about SNC.
Contribute to strategic thinking about Admissions, Residence Life, and career networking, and share these offerings with other parents.
Help us identify additional ways to support SNC-bound students and their families throughout their four years.
And of course, we always hope that you will:
Engage your family more deeply with Sierra Nevada College.
Act as an Ambassador for Sierra Nevada College in your own communities, wherever you may be.
We look forward to working with you! To join the Parents’ Leadership Council member or to receive more information, please contact me at email@example.com or at 775-881-7592.

April 3-5 2014
The inauguration of the SNC Homecoming experience in 2013 was a great success, and alumni enjoyed time with Faculty and Faculty Emeriti, supported our championship winter sports teams at the Ski Banquet, and mixed with current students on Patterson Lawn. The 2nd annual Spring Homecoming, which will include special events for graduating classes ending in ‘4 and ‘9, is a great time for family members to see the life of Sierra Nevada College in action.
May 17 2014
Join us on the Patterson Lawn under a beautiful blue Tahoe sky to celebrate the culmination of a student’s college life. The Parents’ Leadership Council will create more opportunities to engage and support SNC families during this event.
