The SNC ski team has established a long standing tradition of winning at the college. Led by world class skiers from around the globe, the men’s and women’s teams have managed to compile an amazing streak of fifteen USCSA National Championships in Slalom and Giant Slalom. The team also competes regularly in FIS events in the Tahoe basin, Mammoth, Park City and Minnesota. After graduating, several team members have gone back to their home countries to make the respective Olympic teams. The team’s success hinges on great recruiting, but also convenient access to local training areas. Diamond Peak, the team’s home mountain, is five minutes from the campus. Our ski team is not only a source of campus pride but also a core of student leadership in academics; each year our ski team members boast some of the best GPA’s on campus. We take in pride in winning each year as it sets a standard for excellence at SNC.
