Teacher Education

The Teacher Education Department (TED) prepares future teachers and current teachers in the field of education.

Our students will use the necessary skills to become lifelong learners and will be engaged in their future endeavors. Students and graduates will demonstrate the ability to excel in the field of education by applying professional knowledge in combination with general leadership, teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills. Students will have the ability to utilize passion and conceptual thinking to solve complex problems and develop leadership skills to articulate a vision. Our students and graduates will develop an increasing ability to make personal decisions that go beyond self interest, engage in practices that benefit the community and demonstrate respect for the interdependence of diverse peoples, cultures and the environment.
