Your bid will be a confidential Proxy bid. An individual staff member will bid for you – as if you were in the crowd bidding for yourself. The attending bidders will open the bidding process and our staff will then bid for you in the same increments that the attending bidders raise. You may bid with confidence leaving the maximum bid you are willing to pay for the item. We will buy that item for you at the best price possible. If your absentee bid is the high bid at the fall of the hammer, you will pay the last bid is on that item. We will not enter your bid as an opening bid and will not raise the bid to your high bid unless bidding increments reach that amount.
All absentee bids must be received by 12 pm on Friday, December 6, 2013. If there are two identical bids placed on the same item, priority will be given to the first bid received.
All bids will be made in increments as follows:
$500- $1,000. . . . .$50
$1,000-$2,000. . . . .$100
$2,000-$5,000. . . . .$250
$5,000-$10,000. . . . .$500
$10,000 +. . . . . Auctioneer’s discretion
Bid increments listed are a general guideline. Actual increments are at the auctioneer’s discretion. If a bid is left that does not comply with the stipulated increments, the auctioneer has the right to round your bid to the next increment. The auctioneer will execute your absentee bid competitively, up to the maximum amount you have indicated, as the live auction is taking place.
All items must be paid in full within two (2) weeks of the date of the sale. We accept: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX personal checks, wire transfers, cash, and stock transfer. Make checks payable to: Sierra Nevada College. Call 775-881-7589 to pay your invoice by phone.
