Grief and Loss Support Group

This grief support group will allow students suffering from a loss a chance to connect and relate to other students. Not only will this create a greater sense of community, but it will be a safe place for students to give and receive support. Join student Sarah Freedman and school counselor Kelly Root as they structure a group with guidelines, grief activiies, resource information and connect with other students going through similar distress.

The Great American Smoke-Out

The Great American Smoke Out is a day for tobacco users to stop using tobacco to help better their health, an event at Sierra Nevada College

Every year, on the third Thursday of November, smokers across the nation take part in the American Cancer Society Great American Smokeout event. Encourage someone you know to use the date to make a plan to quit, or plan in advance and then quit smoking that day.
