Provision will also be made to livestream the events to allow viewing by those who are unable to attend. The dates for the sessions are as follows: Wednesday\, September 5th – Candidates for the Board of Directors\, North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District Wednesday\, September 19th – Candidates for the IVGID Board of Trustees Wednesday\, October 10th – Candidates for Washoe County Commissioner\, District 1 Wednesday\, October 17th – Candidates for Board of Trustees\, Washoe County School District\, District A Each session will begin with candidate opening statements\, followed by questions for the candidates drawn from the suggestions of Bonanza staff and area residents.  In a new feature\, candidates themselves are encouraged to provide questions; if selected for use\, candidate generated questions will be shared with all of the candidates for that office in advance.  “The goal is to provide a discussion of the key issues that truly informs the voters” commented Deborah Prout of Sierra Nevada College\, “this feature allows all candidates the opportunity to do their homework on substantive issues facing our community and let us all know precisely where they stand.” Bonanza publisher Michael Gelbman will serve as a moderator and Editor Kevin MacMillan will provide news coverage. Questions will also be taken from the floor during the later part of each session.  Candidates will have the opportunity for brief closing statements. Residents may e-mail appropriate questions for the candidates to Bonanza Editor Kevin MacMillan at kmacmillan@tahoebonanza.com.  For further information about the session\, contact Deborah Prout\, Sierra Nevada College at dprout@sierranevada.edu or by calling (775) 881-7559.
