Tammy Muniz is currently teaching for Sierra Nevada College’s Master in Education degree in Advanced Teaching and Leadership Program. Ms. Muniz also teaches English at Foothill High School in Henderson, NV and has been educating students in the Clark County school district for seven years. Jacob Murdock, is currently an Adjunct Faculty member in the Advanced Teaching and Leadership (M.Ed.) program. Jacob is also the Manager of the United Way of Southern Nevada Volunteer Center. Prior to teaching at SNC, Jacob taught in the Leadership & Civic Engagement Minor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Richard S. Normington (Rick) spent 30 years with Pacific Bell, AT&T, and Bell Laboratories in a wide variety of assignments in engineering, operations, sales and marketing, product development, corporate strategy, European business development, legal, and public-policy outreach. He is also a Certified Management Consultant, focusing principally on organizational effectiveness and process improvement. Rick joined the faculty of SNC as an adjunct in fall 2005 and accepted a full-time position in fall 2006. He has received several awards for teaching and academic service at multiple institutions, the Lael Berkstresser Award for Exceptional Executive Leadership in the private sector, was the NCET’s Faculty Advisor of the Year in 2011, and serves on the boards of several entrepreneurial and academic organizations.

Sheri joined SNC in 1997. Before moving to Nevada, she lived in Colorado and taught ceramics and art courses at Aims Community College in Greeley for nine years. I am currently serving as the Vice President of Strategic Operations and the Executive Leadership Resident at The Public Education Foundation. Prior to this, I have been a Life Science teacher, Science Department Chairperson, Dean of Students and Assistant Principal at several at-risk middle and high schools throughout the Vegas Valley.
I attended public K-12 schools in Missouri, New York, Minnesota, Colorado, and California. I have a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Biological Sciences and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both from UNLV. In 2002, I was accepted into the CCSD/UNLV Principal Preparation Program cohort and received a master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
