Jacob Murdock, is currently an Adjunct Faculty member in the Advanced Teaching and Leadership (M.Ed.) program. Jacob is also the Manager of the United Way of Southern Nevada Volunteer Center. Prior to teaching at SNC, Jacob taught in the Leadership & Civic Engagement Minor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Richard S. Normington (Rick) spent 30 years with Pacific Bell, AT&T, and Bell Laboratories in a wide variety of assignments in engineering, operations, sales and marketing, product development, corporate strategy, European business development, legal, and public-policy outreach. He is also a Certified Management Consultant, focusing principally on organizational effectiveness and process improvement. Rick joined the faculty of SNC as an adjunct in fall 2005 and accepted a full-time position in fall 2006. He has received several awards for teaching and academic service at multiple institutions, the Lael Berkstresser Award for Exceptional Executive Leadership in the private sector, was the NCET’s Faculty Advisor of the Year in 2011, and serves on the boards of several entrepreneurial and academic organizations.

Sheri joined SNC in 1997. Before moving to Nevada, she lived in Colorado and taught ceramics and art courses at Aims Community College in Greeley for nine years. Ted Parkhill has worked in the investment business his entire career. After working for mutual fund companies of all sizes, he moved to alternative asset management in 2001 when he went to work for one of the pioneers in the hedge fund space. He is a founding partner of systematic macro investment manager Incline Investment Management (IIM) and provides strategic consulting services to hedge funds through his eponymous firm Parkhill Financial, LLC. He began teaching at SNC in 2013.
Mr. Parkhill earned his MBA from Cornell University with concentrations in Finance and Marketing. He holds his Series 3 and Series 30 licenses, and has earned the Chartered Financial Planner designation. He is married with three children and resides in Crystal Bay, Nevada.

Rick’s artwork focuses on the effects of environmental pollutants on the body. He uses materials as metaphor to address the looming impact of a culture dependent on diminishing resources. Rick has served as Sculpture Program Coordinator at Anderson Ranch Arts Center and has taught at both the University of Dallas, and Colorado Mountain College. He has been a visiting artist at Colorado College, San Jose State University, University of Miami, and Arizona State University. His sculpture has been exhibited throughout the country and was featured in a solo show in the Charles and Dorothy Clark Gallery at the University of Texas – Pan America. In 2007 Rick’s sculpture was the focus of an article in Sculpture magazine. He was recently published in the book Confrontational Ceramics: The Artist as Social Critic by Judith S. Schwartz and was featured in the documentary film “Questions of Art,” by Zach Jankovic.
