Therapist Kelly Root is available as an on-campus counselor. Students can schedule an appointment with her via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or, if her door is open, they are welcome to walk in as well. This resource is free for the students for the first few visits. For continuing visits, Kelly works with the student to create an affordable student rate.
Tahoe SAFE Alliance

Tahoe SAFE Alliance is non-profit agency that collaborates with local businesses, government agencies, volunteers, and supporters to create violence free communities. We are currently the only agency providing assistance to survivors of intimate partner/domestic violence and sexual violence in the North Lake Tahoe/Truckee region of California and Nevada, and we own and operate the only safe house in the community. All services are free of charge and provided in both English and Spanish.

Make The Connection connects veterans, their family members and friends, and other advocates with mental health information, local resources, and inspiring stories of recovery. Visitors can find reliable information on how to cope with challenges such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury, military sexual trauma, and transitioning from service.
