July 28, 2008

Sierra Nevada College has received a $100,000 grant from the William Randolph Hearst Foundation.

"We are grateful that this well-known foundation has enough confidence in Sierra Nevada College to include us on their list of prestigious colleges and universities that they regularly fund," said Robert Maxson, president of the private, four-year liberal arts college in Incline Village.

The San Francisco-based Hearst Foundation supports undergraduate education through the establishment of endowed scholarships at private liberal arts colleges and universities.
