The SNC Tahoe women’s lacrosse team finished their inaugural season strong last year. They are working to establish a tradition of team pride and excellence on and off the field.

Coach Honora Fallon-Oben

Nora Fallon-Oben started the Women’s Lacrosse Team in 2012 and has been building the program since. Before starting the program at SNC she started the first ever North Tahoe girls lacrosse club for high school girls, which made the Nevada State Championship and finished 4th in the state in its second season.  Before locating to Tahoe, Fallon-Oben coached multiple elite club teams in the DC/Maryland area as well as her high school alma mater, St. John’s College High School.  While at St. John’s, she helped revamp the program in one of the toughest conferences in the country, the Washington Capital Athletic Conference.

Fallon-Oben enjoyed a successful playing career as an integral starter at St. Mary’s College in Maryland. St. Mary’s was ranked nationally in the top 20 in NCAA Division III all four years of her career, and enjoyed an NCAA tournament berth in 2008.  In 2010, Fallon-Oben was named Captain of her team and received all conference honors.  She was a First-Team All Chesapeake Region pick, tied the school’s second best record for most points and goals scored in a game, and lead the team in caused turnovers.
