With Lake Tahoe in our back yard, it’s not surprising that Sierra Nevada College has a National Championship Freeski Team. Every year the team brings back many medals, including the overall USCSA Overall Title. The team’s success attracts a well-rounded group of skiers whose competitive training and schedule pushes each skier to succeed for the college and their own personal goals.

The Freestyle Ski Team competes in the United States Collegiate Ski/Snowboard Association (USCSA) in three disciplines: slopestyle, halfpipe, and skiercross. Many skiers also choose to compete outside the collegiate series in events such as the Revolution Tour, The North Face Open, and the Grand Prix. Each year the best skiers travel to the USCSA National Championships to compete against the best collegiate athletes in the country.
