Q – When do I have to pay tuition, etc?
A – Tuition is due no later than the first day of instruction.
Q – How do I pay ?
A – We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. We also can provide you with the instructions on arranging wire transfers from your bank to ours. You can also make an online payment by entering in your browser line www.sierranevada.edu/tuition. Select “Online Payment Center” which will take you right to the Sallie Mae Sierra Nevada College Electronic Payment Gateway website.
Q – Do you have a payment plan?
A – Yes, we have a payment plan arrangement with Sallie Mae that will enable you to make monthly payments. To set up your plan enter in your browser line www.sierranevada.edu/tuition and select “Tuition Payment Plans” which will take you right to the Sallie Mae Sierra Nevada College Tuition Payment Plan website.
Q – I have my own medical insurance. Why am I being charged the “Student Insurance Premium”?
A – We are required to ensure that every undergrad student has medical insurance so it is put on every student account. If you do have your own insurance you will need to complete the “Student Insurance Waiver” form which is on our website at www.sierranevada.edu/admissions. Select the “Orientation” tab or you can get a form when you come to Campus.
Q – Do you send Student Bills out?
A - Prior to the beginning of a semester we send the “Student Schedule/Bill” to all students using the “Billing Address” we have been given. We also send out monthly bills as a courtesy. If you have not received a bill, please contact us to verify that we have your correct address.
The best way to see your account status is to use the Sierra Nevada College Student Information System (SNCSIS).
To access SNCSIS go to www.sierranevada.edu/sncsis. Students are given a User ID and PIN which you will need to get into the system. Not only can you see your bill, but there is other information such as class schedules, grades, Income Tax Form 1098T, etc.
Q – How do I contact someone about my Student Account?
A – The most efficient method is via email. Please leave the following information:
- Student Account number
- A brief description of the issue so we can do the research before we contact you
- Both daytime and nighttime telephone numbers
