PBS TeacherLine offers high quality, standards-based graduate-level professional development opportunities for teachers. The accessible online format makes learning fun, flexible and collaborative. TeacherLine offers trained, certified facilitators who lead courses in more than 90 online courses in Reading/Language Arts, Science, Mathematics, STEM, Instructional Technology, and Instructional Strategies, science, and curriculum mapping.

Earn Graduate Credit for PBS TeacherLine Courses at Sierra Nevada College
Cost = PBS TeacherLine costs + $75 per credit*
Sierra Nevada College Graduate Professional Development or Continuing Studies fees for PBS Courses*
(These fees are paid in addition to PBS course fees):
- 1.0 semester hour credit: $75
- 2.0 semester hour credit: $150
- 3.0 semester hour credit: $225
PBS TeacherLine courses use the following conversions:
- 15-hour PBS = 1 credit
- 30-hour PBS = 2 credits
- 45-hour PBS = 3 credits
Please note: All PBS courses under 15 hours are not eligible for credit.
*Full payment is required at the time of enrollment with PBS and SIERRA NEVADA COLLEGE.
Refunds will only be granted if you withdraw by 5:00 on the first Monday of class, and you notify SNC in writing of your withdrawal. Your bill must be paid in full to receive an official transcript from SNC.

Course Start Dates:
PBS TeacherLine Courses are available several times through-out the year. They are independent study courses with specific beginning and ending dates.
- Winter: January 23, 2013 – March 5, 2013
- Spring: March 27, 2013 – May 7, 2013
- Summer: June 12, 2013 – July 23, 2013
- Late Summer: July 10, 2013 – August 20, 2013
- Early Fall: September 18, 2013 - October 29, 2013
- Fall: October 23, 2013 – December 3, 2013
How to Register
Step 1 - Go to PBS TeacherLine’s website, browse their
catalog for the course you would like to take, and register there.
Step 2 – After the PBS TeacherLine course has begun, to
register here for SIERRA NEVADA COLLEGE’s graduate credit. NOTE: SIERRA NEVADA COLLEGE’s graduate credit fee is in addition to the cost of the PBS course.
Step 3 - Upon registration you will receive an email within two to three business days with registration confirmation, ID Number and Payment instructions. Graduate credit registration will be completed after payment is received.
