Figurative Clay with Clayton
June 13th – 17th, 2016
This workshop will cover an effective and efficient process for rendering the human form byway of simple slab construction. Techniques for sculpting the torso, extremities, head, fingers and toes will all be demonstrated. Students will receive one on one instruction in this process while constructing their own figure from reference material.
Clayton Keyes is an Oklahoma boy living in the inter-mountain west. He earned his MFA from the University of Tulsa in 2011. Clayton shows nationally and has received Best of Show honors in exhibitions at the Clay Studio in Philadelphia, Pottery Northwest in Seattle, and Clay Arts Vegas in Las Vegas. He exhibited in the NCECA 2012 Invitational Exhibition. Clayton teaches workshops and gives demonstrations nationally.
