Jamaica: Caribbean Literature & Creative Writing

Jamaica has produced a multitude of writers whose words continue to spark our imagination. This travel course will offer students a chance to study the work of writers such as Claudia Rankine, Kwame Dawes, Marlon James, and find inspiration for their own work, surrounded by inspiring landscapes, music, and culture.

Accommodations are in a shared villa at Goblin Hill, near the world-famous Blue Lagoon.

ENGL – 180-1: Travel Abroad Caribbean

Dates: January 4 – 12, 2017 (Fall 2016 course)
Cost: $3500 Includes airfare, accommodations, ground transportation, and some meals.
