I RELATED HERE.
Leah’s compassion toward people in need of special care and understanding was nurtured at Sierra Nevada College. She’s a 2008 graduate who’s currently enrolled in SNC’s Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) program and is working toward an endorsement in special education. She won a $26,000 scholarship from the Rotary Club of Tahoe-Incline to study special education/disability rehabilitation at Kyambogo University in Kampala, Uganda. Leah’s passion for Africa has led her there three times—once, spending three months working in a baboon rehabilitation program. The animal kingdom benefits from her compassion as well.
